Meet Anique

M. Anique Azam is a self taught artist. The Founder and President of ColorCoterie , an art society. Colored Pencils are his to-go medium at anytime. He is currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering at Nadershah Edulji Dinshaw University of Engineering & Technology (NEDUET)

Anique had scribbled when he was quite young, but the passion grew and he started drawing. He discovered the level of professionalism and the scope of Colored Pencils in Fine Arts back in 2015, when first participated in an art competition by Colored Pencil Magazine.

Art Motivation:

Anique's art tries to incorporate realism and cultural values at once which are being forgotten in the contemporary art. His stance on art is a communication tool which imparts a sense of value and harmony, of colors and soul in one's mind. The fact that makes art penetrate into the hearts of people is the commonality of human nature, the cultural overlaps and fraternity, says he.
He is much biased towards orientalism perhaps because it fits his standards of art. Realism, Culture and Excellence, all at once.
Saying so, his favorite artist from the history is Fredrick Arthur Bridgman.

Anique loves experimenting, and he always tries out different styles, checks them out if it suits him or not. Colored Pencils are a compact media. They are portable, fine and no way behind the wet media, according to him.

Acquisitions:

Anique has been participating in many national competitions and the most important part in these competitions, he says, is the opportunity to learn.
